Dr. Parulkar received his medical degree, or MBBS, from the Topiwala National Medical College, Bombay, India, in 1968. He then received a Master of Surgery from the University of Bombay in 1972. Dr. Parulkar then came to the United States, where he performed a medical internship at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio, from 1974 to 1975. He received his residency in general surgery at the Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, from 1975 to 1978, and his urology residency from the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, from 1978 to 1981.

Dr. Parulkar is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Ohio State Urological Society. He holds active and courtesy staff privileges at several area hospitals and has extensive urological experience.
